NEW KENT, VA - On Saturday, deputies arrested Jose Martinez-Marmolejo, 25, after reportedly finding him sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl inside a motel room.
The victim’s family reported her missing earlier in the day.
In a news release, the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office stated:
During the course of the investigation, it was revealed that the female juvenile may be in the company of a male that she had been communicating with via one of the social media platforms.
The girl was transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Martinez-Marmolejo was charged with five counts of obscenity, four counts of rape, production/possession/sale of child pornography, child abuse, child neglect and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is currently being held at the Henrico County Regional Jail East on an ICE detainer.
