FONTANA, CA – On January 9, 2020, police served a search warrant at the home of Francisco Medina Chavez, 39, in the 171000 block of Orange Ave. More than 1,500 child pornography images and videos were discovered and Chavez was taken into custody, according to court documents.Investigators determined that he had been attempting to convince young boys to meet him, using.social media apps.
Under questioning, Chavez admitted to using Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp to receive and distribute child pornography.
Victor Valley News reported:
“Authorities interviewed Chavez and he admitted to using multiple apps to communicate with other like minded individuals to exchange videos, images, and stories. Chavez used the fake screen name, 'Pedro Callen' to communicate...”
Chavez was charged with possession and distribution of child pornography, possession of child pornography and possession of graphic child pornography. He was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and despite his immigration status, is currently free on bond.
