HAVELOCK, NC - Last month, the Craven County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the Havelock Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce executed a search at the residence of 39-year-old Naheed Shams Ali, located at 302 Crystal Lake Drive.
The search uncovered a large amount of child pornography.
Ali was charged with four felony counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and four felony counts of third degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He is currently being held at the Craven County Detention Facility on $1 million bond.
“The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected,” according to a CCSO press release.
*It has not been released at this time as to why or how the Iranian national came to this country.
