YORK COUNTY, SC – On December 19, Charles Jost was traveling along Interstate 77, headed back home, after attending his mother's funeral, when the 51-year-old veteran was shot in the face.
He is lucky to be alive.
Jost told FOX News 8:
I saw him in the side rear view mirror. It looked like he was holding a gun outside of the window...The second round went through this window, through my face and out the other window, I don’t know if it was because I was going too slow in the fast lane… I don’t know.
Jost spent four days in the hospital and has been left blind in one eye.
York County sheriff's deputies quickly arrested Isiah Obinna Ezechukwu Sr., 33, for the shooting.
Ezechukwu has been charged with attempted murder, kidnapping, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a stolen handgun. He is currently being held at the York County Jail without bond.
*This crime has received no attention from the national press, while only one local media outlet has given it any coverage. To date, US Illegal Alien Crime Report is the only outlet to report that the accused is actually a Nigerian “immigrant,” and that he also has a staggeringly long criminal history...
As of July 29, 2015, Ezechukwu had been charged in Mecklenburg County (NC) alone, with the following crimes: Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Assault by Strangulation, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Assault on a Female, Violation of a Protective Order, False Imprisonment, Drug Possession, Resisting Arrest, Assaulting a Police Officer and First-Degree Burglary.
Then, on October 10, 2020, Ezechukwu was arrested again in Mecklenburg County and charged with Violation of a Protection Order.
