Illegal Alien Released By NC 'Sanctuary Sheriff' After Being Charged With Deadly DUI

RALEIGH, NC - On Sunday night, Officer K.R. Elliott arrested Jose Saul Diaz-Morales, 32, following a deadly crash in which two people were killed.

Around 10:45 p.m., two vehicles collided in the 9600 block of Brier Creek Parkway, as a result, one of them ran off of the road and hit a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger died later at a local hospital.

Officials have not yet released the identity of the two victims.

Diaz-Morales was charged with driving while impaired. He was booked into the Wake County Jail, and despite his immigration status, has since been released after making bail.

*Since taking office on December 3, 2018, Wake County Sheriff Gerald M. Baker has refused to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and has released many dangerous criminals back into his county, despite ICE detainers being issued against them.

According to Wake County criminal records, Diaz-Morales lives in Durham, another 'sanctuary' city.
