Pineda was driving north on New Warrington Road, when he cut off a motorcycle, sending the 21-year-old rider into the median, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash.
Pineda is currently being held at the Escambia County Jail on an ICE detainer. His next court date is scheduled for March 15.
