RALEIGH, NC - On April 6, police arrested Pedro Reyna Ibarra, 54, after he reportedly crashed a work van head-on into another vehicle, leaving two people dead and two others injured as a result.
Around 10:30 p.m., Ibarra was headed north through the intersection of Olde South Road and Countryview Lane when he collided into a Honda Odyssey, according to police.
Faustino Sosa, 24, and Andre Gibson, 22, were pronounced dead on the scene, and Zachary Loeza, 18, was injured and later released from the hospital. Another, unnamed passenger in the Honda remains listed in critical condition at WakeMed Hospital, according to the North Carolina State Police.
Ibarra has been charged with two counts of felony death by vehicle, felony serious injury by vehicle, DUI and driving without a license. He is currently being held at the Wake County Jail on 500,000 bail.
