WILMINGTON, NC – On Wednesday, police arrested Tomas Yoc Cinto, 32, Jose Mendez, 36, Joel Yoc Cinto, 25, after the the trio grabbed a woman whose car broke down on Greenville Loop Road.
The victim had exited her vehicle and was on foot when one of the accused began shouting at obscenities at her, suddenly two others ran over and began assaulting her, according to court documents.
The Port City Daily reported:
“When she passed by a lot, 32-year-old Tomas Yoc Cinto, 25-year-old Joel MoisesYoc Cinto, and 36-year-old Jose Mendez began yelling at her and harassing her. She tried to ignore them but they ran into the street and began assaulting her. One of the individuals yelled to the others to drag her into a nearby trailer. The victim began kicking and screaming as they were dragging her and the individuals finally let go,” according to the WPD.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries. She was able to identify all three men as those who attacked her.
All three have been charged with assault on a female, second-degree kidnapping, and felony conspiracy. They are currently being held at the New Hanover County Jail.
